STUDIO BOOK NEWS
I've sent the contract off to the new publishers of the studio book, so it should be out at the end of May. I'll reveal the new publisher very soon.
But it will have an introduction from Guillermo Del Toro and an afterword from Michael Moorcock which is very exciting.

DUBLIN IN FOUR PARTS PART TWO

DUBLIN IN FOUR PARTS
I went to Dublin for a small comic show last weekend. I went on a whim with my friend Andy and I have to say that the show was very small with a big guest (Jim Lee) and some of the people on the door were jobsworths. It was fun to catch up with Jamie McKelvie, Kieron Gillen, Mark Millar, Jock and Declan Shalvey, whose Frankenstein looks very good indeed. He's already a name to watch. The weather was pretty foul but we did spend Sunday and Monday morning wandering around the city to places like Dublin Castle, Merrion Square, St Stephens Green, Temple Bar, Christ Church, Docklands and Trinity College. Christ Church has a great crypt, St Stephen's Green is lovely and Temple Bar is hideously touristy although we found a great photography shop there. It was a great chance to really use the new camera (took about 250 photos) and to exorcise a previous trip with someone I no longer speak to. The weather was raining pretty much the whole time but we didn't let it dampen our ardour too much. Dublin is a very cool city but I don't think I'll be heading back for another comic show any time soon. I may go to visit the city itself again though. Here is my first set of various photos taken during the trip…

EVEN MORE PICTURES
Having the SLR is a little bit like when I first bought my digital camera, only more so. So since I've been out and about the last couple of days in the West End, here are some more photos (in two parts): BT Tower from two different views, church on Shaftesbury Avenue, Habitat on Tottenham Court Road and the Masons headquarters on Great Queen Street…

BRODIES LAW ART EXHIBITION LAUNCH
Tonight I went to a launch of an exhibition from the Brodies Law guys at my friend Russell's Animation Art Gallery off Regent Street in London. Dave and Daley, who produce Brodies Law, are both very talented and so I promised them a plug here. The exhibition runs until 21st November…

I saw Mike Conroy at the launch as well as Tony Lee, Dave Baillie and a few other people. I went with Andy Winter since at last we got the chance to sit down and have a chat. Here are some photos I took at the event…
